FELLOWSHIP
One of the main aims of the European Board of Laboratory Medicine/Medical Biopathology (EB LM/MB) is to facilitate the free movement of Medical Biopathologists troughout the European Union. It does this by instituting a "recognition of quality" which will give the candidate the right to the title Fellowship of the European Board of Medical Biopathology.
The European Board of Laboratrory Medicine/Medical Biopathology
1. Recommends the standards required for training specialists in Medical Biopathology.
2. Makes proposals in relation to the quality and content of training programs.
3. Recommends procedures to facilitate the free movement of Biopathologists throughout the European Union.
4. Recommends the criteria to which Training Centres should conform.
5. Examines the content and quality of the training programmes in various countries of the European Union.
6. Facilitates the exchange of specialist trainees between training centres in various countries of the European Union to ensure a better quality of training.
7. Institutes a recognition of quality and competence by establishing the Fellowship of the European Board of Laboratory Medicine/Medical Biopathology (F.E.B.L.M./M.B.).
